New Task Force on Standardization of Multi-Stage PR Measurement Models

The international Task Force on Standardization of Multi-Stage PR Measurement Models was founded in the summer of 2015 to bring together relevant groups and individuals from research and practice in communication performance measurement in order to develop an international standard for multi-level PR measurement models. Until now, many different multi-level PR measurement models exist alongside each other – most of them are untested – and their results are difficult to compare. The twelve-member international task force is headed by Fraser Likey. Mark-Steffen Buchele, one of three European experts in the field, is also part of the task force.

 Proceeding of the international task force 

 First of all, the task force wants to identify the different models, examine their development and use, and discuss their similarities and differences. In the end, the members work towards reaching consensus on the standardization of the models and the theoretic framework concept for PR and communication in the domains of goals, planning, measurement, and evaluation. The entire development process follows the procedure recommended by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
